WHAT hypocrisy from the Roman Catholic Church sending out information on how candidates vote on issues concerning same-sex marriage, abortion legislation, assisted suicide, and gender reform legislation to 500 parishes (Catholic Church to be politically ‘proactive’, January 6).

This apparently is so the priests can give guidance to their parishioners on how to vote within their religious beliefs in next year’s Holyrood election.

How dare the Roman Catholic Church interfere in elections in the pretext of their morality when they are one of the worst organisations in terms of perpetrators of child sexual abuse? Wolves in sleep’s clothing comes to mind.

I think they need to clean up their act instead of interfering in how political candidates choose to vote on legislative matters. Religion should be kept out of politics.
