I HAVE been absolutely appalled at the abuse being hurled at Jeremy Corbyn during this election campaign. The interview with Andrew Neil was an utterly disgusting display of verbal aggression, and inexcusable ill manners.

The Labour party leader appears to me as being, in every way, a thoroughly decent fellow, and an extremely astute political thinker. It can be said that his style is not really suited to party leadership in modern politics. He does lack the decisive drive necessary in the thrust of exchanges when confronted with forceful opponents.

As regards his alleged anti-Semitism; such charges are complete nonsense, as regards his personal political opinions – he has been let down by some members of his party expressing these repugnant views, and, in my opinion, has taken the appropriate steps to deal with it.
