I WAS disappointed to see the number of attacks on the Green Party in yesterday’s National (Letters, November 3).

Scotland prides itself on being democratic. Everyone in this country is entitled to vote according to their convictions. Green issues have become very important. Many consider them more important than whether Scotland becomes independent or not. Independence on a dead planet is of little use to any of us.

I will of course be voting SNP at this election, because l think as an independent country we will have a better chance of making Scotland a much greener place, but every one in Scotland has to vote with their conscience.

There is also no guarantee that those voting Green would not vote for other parties rather than the SNP.
