ON a daily basis we witness the Tory Party haemorrhaging before our very eyes. How ironic to think David Cameron started the whole referendum Brexit process to avoid the destruction of his “precious” party, as they were losing supporters to Nigel Farage!
Stalwarts of the party including Kenneth Clarke, John Major, Michael Heseltine and now Amber Rudd all standing up against Boris in his futile bid to retain power at all costs. But not a “dicky bird” from David Cameron, the great Houdini escape artist of the political world!
Is he basking on a beach somewhere? Or scouring the country to find a publisher for his memoirs?
But surely, folks, the consequence of this almighty debacle can only enhance Scotland’s resolve for total self-determination, free from the shackles of Westminster! At long last!

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
