Taking cyclists through the Thomas Muir Heritage Trail, the route offers views of some of the most amazing natural beauty spots right on Glasgow's doorstep.

Pollok Park loop from Glasgow Central
Difficulty: Easy
Length: 12 miles
Time to complete: 1h 14mins
A much easier cycle route on this list, the Pollok Park loop takes cyclists from the city centre over the Clyde, through the South Side and into Pollok Country Park, making for a lovely afternoon cycle.

Glasgow Botanic Gardens – Canal loop from Possilpark and Parkhouse

Starting off in Glasgow's popular Botanic Gardens, this route takes cyclists through the West End and along the Clyde River until reaching Old Kilpatrick in Dunbartonshire. Please be advised that this route has a ferry crossing.

A circuit for experts interested in challenging themselves, this route to the north of Glasgow offers some difficult elevation over the Campsies region and lets cyclists explore some of the city's satellite towns like Bishopbriggs.

Requiring good physical fitness and for cyclists to carry their bikes at certain points, the route is very rewarding, allowing bike riders to view the Highland cows resident in Pollok Park and areas to the far south of Glasgow in Renfrewshire. The route finishes at Castle Semple Country Park.
