HUNDREDS from the Scottish music industry will unite in a show of solidarity with the growing Black Lives Matter movement.
Industry professionals - including artists, management and writers - have vowed to cease normal business activities for the whole day, while abstaining from social media posts.
The move is to encourage reflection and affect change as protests rage across America in response to a growing number of black men who have died at the hands of police.
Some of the world's biggest record companies have agreed to observe the blackout, with employees given the day off in some instances.
International stars such as Beyoncé, Ariana Grande and The Rolling Stones have joined the cause.
All those taking part will united under the banner of #TheShowMustBePaused
Artists and other industry professionals in Scotland have pledged their support.
Biffy Clyro were the latest to lend their voice, along with Tom Walker, The Dunts, Stephanie Cheape and Vistas.
Other stars, such as Lewis Capaldi, have posted links urging fans to join the cause or to donate money to support others.
