Celtic's annual festival has been cancelled this year as the coronavirus pandemic continues to sweep the country.

The club had already been forced to reschedule the event from earlier this year and had November 14 and 15 mapped out as the next best dates to host the two-day festival. However, the usual venue - Glasgow's SEC - is still in use by the Scots government as a temporary medical facility.

This has forced the Hoops to cancel the days following consultation with PSP Media Group and the SEC itself. The club confirmed that those fans who have already paid for tickets are to be refunded in full over the next few days.

In a statement on the club website, they said: "Everyone at Celtic Football Club would once again like to extend our thanks and appreciation to all those who remain dedicated to finding a safe path through this pandemic for those who rely on the services of the NHS. We are fully supportive of the contingency to ensure the Louisa Jordan can be called upon if needed to bolster the resources of NHS Scotland."

Last year's event saw the club unveil their grey and pink third kit with first-team stars on modelling duty for the event.
