NEXT month will see All Under One Banner go to Cardiff to help their friends in Wales organise a march and rally for Welsh independence in the principality’s capital city.

We’ll bring you more details about that event soon, but in the meantime we have news of a collaboration between Scottish and Welsh activists who are planning a weekend of events in and around the “wee county” of Clackmannanshire.

Yes Clackmannanshire wrote to tell us of a weekend of activity later this month involving the Welsh Football Fans for Independence group.

They have already organised a march in Cardiff which took place before the recent Euro 2020 qualifier against Slovakia, when a lot of people joined in as they marched to the stadium.

Yes Hub was told: “This is a joint Scottish and Welsh gathering promoting self determination for both our countries.

“There will be a cultural exchange taking place on Saturday April 27 involving Yes Partick Thistle and a trip to Firhill followed by a social event in Alloa at the Thistle Bar on the Saturday evening.

“On Sunday April 28 we have Clackmannanshire’s biggest bridges activity to date, when both groups and other Yes supporters will hold a Bridges for Indy celebration at a bridge over the south approach road to the Kincardine and Clackmannan bridge.

Yes Clackmannanshire will also have a street stall and interactive engagement game; How’s yer Brexit going? in Alloa town centre this Saturday from 12 noon to 3pm.
