Andy Robertson has admitted Scotland won't take much from the 3-0 loss to Switzerland but revealed the three reasons Sebastien Pocognoli was still proud of his team.
The national team captain conceded it was a difficult night but insisted Scotland must stick to the process despite falling to a loss at Hampden.
On BBC, Robertson said: "It's a difficult night but we won't try and let it get in the way of our process.
"We've got a new manager, we have got a new squad and we have to still be positive.
"We can take certain things from this game.
"We just need to try and move on quickly from it and going into the next game we need to forget about it and keep the positivity."
The Scotland captain then explained that Pocognoli was proud of three key signs on a challenging night in Glasgow; the fight, running and togetherness on show.
"What we have planned for the last three days just went completely out the window," he said reflecting on the match.
"We wanted to try and be good on the ball and press them a bit higher but when you go a man down you unfortunately have to rip that up and try something else.
"I think he was proud of the fight, proud of the running we did, proud of how we all stuck together.
"Ultimately, I don't think we will take too much from this game in terms of how we want to look as a Scotland team under the manager."
