A BUSY road in East Ayrshire has been closed following a crash involving a police vehicle and a car.
Emergency services were called to the A76 at Mauchline at around 2.40pm on Friday following a report of a crash involving a police vehicle and a car.
Police have closed the A76 while the emergency services are in attendance.
It is unclear if there have been any injuries.
Police have urged motorists to use alternative routes while the road is closed.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The A76 is closed at Mauchline following a crash involving a police vehicle and a car, reported around 2.40pm on Friday, 28 August, 2026.
“Emergency services are in attendance, and motorists should use an alternative route.”
