Drivers in Glasgow’s Southside are facing disruption after a number of streets were closed due to subsidence.

Glasgow City Council confirmed that Calder Street is shut between Hickman Street and Cathcart Road, while Allison Street is closed between Cathcart Road and Hickman Street.

Hollybrook Street has also been closed to traffic between Allison Street and Calder Street.

Road users are being advised to avoid the area, expect delays and follow police guidance on diversions.

A Glasgow City Council spokesperson said: “Due to subsidence the following roads have been closed to traffic: Calder Street between Hickman Street and Cathcart Road, Allison Street between Cathcart Road and Hickman Street, Hollybrook Street between Allison Street and Calder Street. Road users are advised to avoid the area and consider alternative routes. Delays are to be expected. Follow Police Guidance.”
