GLASS panels have been removed from a bus shelter in Glasgow’s Trongate ahead of this weekend’s title decider between Celtic and Hearts.
Pictures taken on Friday show one shelter already stripped of its glass and taped off and another with tools on the seats.
Barras‑adjacent streets have become a focal point for large crowds during recent Celtic celebrations, with fans previously filmed climbing on top of bus shelters in the area.
During 2023’s unofficial title party, two supporters plunged through a shelter roof, while in 2024 Glasgow City Council later revealed it had spent more than £73,000 repairing damage to the nearby Mercat Cross after thousands gathered there.

The latest changes come as supporters gear up for Saturday’s Premiership finale at Parkhead, where Celtic will face Hearts with the league title on the line.
Other preparations for the big day are also underway around the Barras.
Organisers of the Hong Kong Market, which returns to the historic market this weekend, have already told visitors they are aware a “major football final will be taking place at Celtic Park on 16 May” and stressed they are working with police and Barras security “to ensure the event runs smoothly throughout the day” and provide “a safe, enjoyable HK Market for everyone.”
