A 63-YEAR-OLD man has been taken to hospital after a two-car crash closed a major Glasgow road in both directions.
Police were called to the junction of Prospecthill Road and Aikenhead Road at around 3.40 pm on Friday, following reports of a collision.
Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Glasgow City Council confirmed Aikenhead Road was closed in both directions, southbound from the Asda link road at Prospecthill Road to Curtis Avenue and northbound from Curtis Avenue back to Prospecthill Road.
Residents on local community pages reported a "big car crash" in the area and said police were at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.40pm on Friday, 24 April, 2026, we were called to a report of a two-car crash at the junction of Prospecthill Road and Aikenhead Road in Glasgow.
"Emergency services attended and a 63-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
"There were no other reported injuries.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
Glasgow City Council later confirmed Aikenhead Road had fully reopened to all traffic.
