SEVERAL city centre roads will be closed this week for a mystery film shoot in Edinburgh.
Restrictions will take over multiple streets in the Circus Place area of the Scottish capital, starting from Wednesday until Sunday, to accommodate a film shoot.
North East Circus Place will be closed until Friday, March 27, with most of the other roads in the surrounding areas due to be impacted by the shoot shut only on Thursday, March 26.
The road closures come as a major period drama will also close some areas in Glasgow’s city centre as they begin shooting.

Edinburgh has been used for major film productions over the last year, including Hollywood director J.J. Abrams’s Ghostwriter and Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein.
The Scottish capital was also the backdrop of the hit Netflix detective drama Dept. Q.

- Southwest Cumberland Street Lane, between its western junction with Cumberland Street and a point 25m southwards
- Northwest Cumberland Street Lane, between its junction with St Stephen Street and a point 60m eastwards
- Royal Circus, between number 12 south-eastwards to Circus Place/Southeast Circus Place
- Circus Lane, in its entirety except local residents
