Two teenagers have been charged in connection with an assault on three other teens in a Dundee city centre alleyway.

The two young men, aged 15 and 13, were arrested after an assault that took place at around 9pm on Friday, March 20.

Two boys, aged 12 and 14, and a 17-year-old female were assaulted in an alleyway near High Street.

The 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment.

The pair are now due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 24 March.

Sergeant McKay of Police Scotland's Dundee city centre community team said: "Police Scotland takes incidents of violence extremely seriously.

"There is no place for such behaviour in our city centre, and we want to reassure the public that robust action will always be taken against those who engage in violent conduct.

"We are committed to ensuring the city centre remains a safe environment for residents, businesses and visitors."

Police Scotland added that enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3988 of Friday, 20 March, 2026.
