DONALD Trump's Turnberry golf resort is attempting to profit from the war in the middle east by offering to switch bookings from venues in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), it has been reported.
The Mirror has seen emails sent by staff working for Ayrshire hotel outlining the offer to a golf tour company in the UAE.
"I can only imagine the impact recent events in the Middle East may be having on your UAE bookings and wider plans," a business development manager for Trump Turnberry wrote in an email to members of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO).
The Mirror reports that the sender goes on to suggest they could re-arrange tours originally booked to take place in the middle east to visit Turnberry instead, saying: "We've seen an increase in last-minute bookings for golf and accommodation at Turnberry as a result of changing travel arrangements.
"I would be delighted to support you and your clients should a 'stay and play' option be of interest."
The email continues: "If you're available for a call, it would be great to connect and explore how we can assist."

Travel across the middle east has been significantly disrupted as strikes continue between Iran and the US and Israel and their regional allies.
Much of the airspace over the middle east has been closed while the conflict continues and major transport hubs like Dubai Airport have been targeted.
Trump warned on Sunday that the US will “obliterate” Iranian power plants if it does not fully open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours.
The developments signalled the war was moving in a dangerous new direction at the start of its fourth week, despite claims by Trump that he is looking to "wind down" the conflict.
The death toll in Iran has now risen to 1500, according to the Ministry of Health, and at least 20,984 people have been injured, with seven hospitals evacuated and 36 ambulances damaged.
The Trump Organization, which operates Trump's real estate, entertainment and hospitality businesses, has been approached for comment.
