RADIO 1 DJ Greg James has crossed the finish line of his 1000km bike ride challenge for Red Nose Day at Murrayfield in Edinburgh, raising over £3.3 million for Comic Relief.
Cheering crowds greeted him at Murrayfield this morning as he finished the challenge shortly after 10.30am.
At the finish line James said: “I can’t believe it’s done! I couldn’t see, I just kept bursting into tears at everyone I saw.
“Please, let me get off this bike!”
He added: "It feels amazing to complete that, it feels amazing to have done that adventure and to have pushed through it all. It feels amazing to be part of that team and to have raised so much money and it feels amazing to be finished!"
James added: "It's been such a struggle at times, some of that. But, everyone has got me through all of it. The Radio 1 lot have got me through it and every smiling face, aside from the pain and the legs that are barely working...by the way that last 10km was so difficult! My legs are shaking!"

The Radio 1 presenter began the cycle journey in Dorset on Friday, March 13. His route started in Weymouth, went to Bristol, then to Wales, before heading to Birmingham and York.
He then went up the East Coast, arriving in Sunderland before heading off over the Scottish Border and into Galashiels on Thursday night.
Prince William joined him just north of Doncaster and they cycled together through the South Yorkshire countryside.
A group of schoolchildren holding banners were amongst the first to see Greg reach the finish line.
At 10.28am, the star was said to be a mile away before racing across the finish line just a few minutes later.
When James crossed the finish line crowds in the Scottish city erupted into cheers, and Greg was visibly emotional.
James finished: "But the thing I will remember the most is the joy of seeing everyone. I just tried to push through the pain to get to that joy, and there was so much joy on that whole journey.
"It was long, and it was deliberately stupid to make a lot of noise for Comic Relief. But there was so much joy on that roadside, so many amazing people. I will never, ever forget it."
