A BUSY section of the A1 has been closed to allow for the recovery of a vehicle after it was apparently blown over by high winds.

Reports on social media said a lorry had blown over near Torness Power Station.

Now, Traffic Scotland has confirmed that a section of the A1, between the Spott Roundabout and Cockburnspath Roundabout, has been closed from just after 9.35am.

Traffic is being diverted by Crowhill and motorists are being urged to allow extra time for their journey.
