A TOP Scottish Greens candidate for next year’s Holyrood elections has been suspended pending an investigation.
Guy Ingerson – who was chosen as the Scottish Greens lead list candidate for the North East in July – has been issued with a “no-fault suspension” by the party after a complaint was made.
He took the top spot on the list from MSP Maggie Chapman, who Ingerson previously lodged a bullying complaint against.

The National reported in June that Ingerson issued a complaint against Chapman, alleging that she had contacted Ingerson's place of work in October 2024 to suggest that he was "untrustworthy and should be 'watched'".
The National also reported that Chapman (below) had made a previous complaint against Ingerson, which we understand was ultimately dismissed.
But a Scottish Greens spokesperson has now confirmed that a new complaint has been made and an investigation has been launched.
"Guy Ingerson has been issued with a no-fault suspension pending the investigation of a complaint,” the spokesperson said.
“The party will not be issuing any further comment while the investigation is ongoing."
Ingerson, meanwhile, said he didn’t wish to comment at this stage.
