A TRADITIONAL Scottish arts charity has announced a “landmark” anniversary concert for 2026.
Feis Phaislig, a Renfrewshire organisation which provides accessible tuition in traditional and Gaelic music for young people, will mark its tenth anniversary with a showcase event in February.
Taking place in Paisley Town Hall, the event will feature current students, accomplished alumni, Feis Phaislig’s Gaelic choir, local pipe bands and some of Scotland’s leading trad musicians.

Grant McFarlane, director of Feis Phaislig, said: “This concert will be a true celebration of the community that has built Feis Phaislig over the last decade and of Renfrewshire’s flourishing creativity.
“We are incredibly proud to bring together learners who are just starting their musical journeys with the professional artists who inspire them, many of whom are our former participants.
“We would like to extend an invitation to the whole community to join us for what will be an inspiring night, full of energy, that reflects and honours our achievements and journey so far and looks ahead to the next ten years of championing culture in Renfrewshire."
Since its launch in 2015, Feis Phaislig has grown from a single summer event to tutoring more than 15,000 young musicians annually.
The anniversary concert will be hosted by Gaelic singer and broadcaster Joy Dunlop and will feature performances from vocalist Josie Duncan, Manran’s Gary Innes and Ewen Henderson, guitarist Ron Jappy, Gaelic singer and fiddle player Chloe Price and mandolin player Calum McIlroy.
Feis Phaislig’s Tenth Anniversary Concert, supported by the National Lottery through Creative Scotland, will also premiere a newly commissioned Gaelic song created to look towards the organisation’s future.
Anna MacQuarrie, Gaelic arts officer at Creative Scotland said: “In the 10 years since it was founded, Feis Phaislig has firmly rooted Gaelic and traditional music in the communities of Renfrewshire.
“Their anniversary celebration, with support from the National Lottery, is a culmination of their achievements and everyone who has engaged with the valuable opportunities they offer.
“The concert will demonstrate the range of talent and creativity nurtured by the Feis, inspiring audiences of all ages and backgrounds to experience and participate in traditional Gaelic arts, continuing their mission for years to come.”
The concert will take place on February 7, 2026, with tickets priced on a “pay-what-you-can” scale.
