MURDO Fraser has been reported to the police after calling for “no more Buddhists” as Rangers manager.
The Tory MSP made the comment after Russell Martin was sacked by the football club on Sunday after just 17 games in charge.
Fraser, who is a Rangers fan, took to social media afterwards and said: "No more vegans, Bhuddists [sic] or Green Party members please Rangers.”
Russell has been a vegan since 2014, is a Green Party member and follows Buddhist teachings.

The MSP for mid-Scotland and Fife’s comments were widely condemned on social media, with the Scottish Greens also branding them “divisive and discriminatory”.
But now, Fraser has also been reported to the police by a member of the public over the comment.
Police Scotland confirmed to The National that a complaint has been received.
“We have received a report relating to a post made online and the information is being assessed," a spokesperson said.
The complainant, meanwhile, told The National: “My daughter, who is Buddhist, and many of her community friends feel insulted and marginalised by this statement. Such comments can perpetuate intolerance and division in our society.”
The Scottish Conservatives have been approached for comment.
A spokesman for Murdo Fraser, in reaction to the initial outrage over the comment yesterday, said: “This was obviously a joke, but Russell Martin’s period at Rangers perfectly illustrates once again how everything goes wrong when Greens get into positions of power.”
