Rangers starlet Cole McKinnon has joined Ayr United on loan.

The 21-year-old midfielder has joined the Scottish Championship side for the remainder of the season.

McKinnon has been on the bench for the Rangers first-team this season including in the Europa League but he has not made a single appearance.

The academy graduate spent time on loan at East Fife in 2021 before a spell with Partick Thistle in the 2023/23 season.

McKinnon - who has played four times for the Ibrox first-team in total - has six months left on his current Ibrox deal.
