Second man due in court after 'suspect item' found in Clydebank

A SECOND man is due to appear in court after a 'suspect item' was found in a flat in Overtoun Court in Clydebank. 

Residents were evacuated on Monday, October 28, after the item was discovered by police who were carrying out searches relating to another ongoing investigation. 

A 26-year-old man was arrested last month and was charged in connection with a firearms offence.

Now, a 41-year-old man has also been arrested and charged in connection with a firearms offence. 

He is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday, November 11.
