A GLASGOW college has launched a masterclass on Taylor Swift ahead of her sold-out shows in Edinburgh this summer.

Glasgow Clyde College is offering a one-off course on May 7 to get people “up to speed” about the pop megastar ahead of her gigs in June.

The American pop sensation has three dates of her Eras Tour in Edinburgh at Murrayfield and the course offers to make sure any fans going to the shows won’t miss any of her iconic moments.

The masterclass offers top tips about Taylor’s wardrobe, hairstyles, and make-up techniques, as well as need-to-know information about crowd chants and set lists.

Robert Anderson, curriculum assistant principal at Glasgow Clyde College, said the masterclass is aimed at those who will be accompanying their superfan kids, so they are fully clued up on Swiftie culture.

He said: “Taylor mania doesn’t seem to be slowing anytime soon, and we expect it’ll reach its peak here in Scotland in June.

“We understand that not everyone will be up to speed on all things Taylor and might not get the full Eras experience.

“That’s why we created this masterclass - to prepare those who’ll be heading along to the gig with their superfan kids, friends or partners to ensure they have just as memorable a time.

“Taylor’s gigs are known for being so well crafted, and unless you’re a fan yourself, you might miss some of the iconic moments.

“Our expert will take you through everything you need to know - leaving you a Swiftie in no time.”

It has been reported that Swift is on track to break the record for Scotland’s biggest-ever show, beating Harry Styles, who played to more than 65,000 fans at Murryfield last year.

Ticketmaster released data showing more than 2.9 million fans have tried to secure tickets to the hotly anticipated Eras Tour since last year.

The whistle-stop lesson will ensure that all those who attend will be thoroughly clued up on Swift and her music.
