Two Largs shop premises were each targeted twice within separate periods of nine days, according to police.
The Spar shop in Holehouse Road and the Semichem store in Main Street were both raided on two separate occasions in the space of a month.
Basic details of all the incidents were contained in the monthly crime report presented to the last meeting of Largs Community Council.
According to the report, the Spar premises in Holehouse Road was targeted twice, first on March 3 and then on March 12.
The latter was recorded as an incident of 'theft by opening a lockfast place'.
There were also shoplifting incidents reported at Semichem on February 22 and March 7.
Thefts at properties in Aitken Street on March 5 and Greenock Road on March 14 were also included in the police report, which also mentioned an incident of shoplifting at the town's Morrisons supermarket on February 29.
