A convict is "unlawfully at large" after being reported missing from a Scottish prison.

Police say they are carrying out an investigation to track down Zander Sutherland, who was sent to prison on heroin charges.

The 35-year-old, who is a convicted prisoner, has been reported missing having been on home leave from HMP Castle Huntly in Dundee.

The force says he was reported missing at 7.35pm on Thursday, April 11.

Officers believe Sutherland has connections to the Glasgow area, however, he is "not deemed" a risk to the wider community.
