THE body of a missing Israeli boy has been found in the occupied West Bank after he was killed in a “terrorist attack”, according to the Israeli army.

The disappearance of 14-year-old Binyamin Achimair sparked a large Israeli settler attack on a Palestinian village on Friday and Saturday.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the murder, saying Israeli forces “are engaged in an extensive pursuit of the despicable murderers and anyone who collaborated with them”.

Netanyahu added: “The heinous murder of the youth Benjamin Ahimayer, may he rest in peace, is a grave crime. I send heartfelt condolences to his family."

According to Al Jazeera, there have already been calls for direct action against Palestinians on settler noticeboards and settler WhatsApp groups.

On Friday, one Palestinian man was killed and 25 others were wounded in an attack on the village of Mughayyir, Palestinian health officials said.

Israeli troops delayed the ambulance carrying the body of the 26-year-old man for several hours, but it eventually got through.

Dozens of settlers returned to the village’s outskirts on Saturday, burning two homes and several cars.

Palestinian health officials say more than 460 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank by Israeli fire since attacks in Gaza began.

The killing of the teenager and the settler rampages marked the latest in an escalation of violence in the territory, at a time when Israel is waging war on Hamas in the Gaza Strip

Raids by the army have been taking place across the occupied West Bank on a near nightly basis.

One, perhaps two raids, would take place before October 7, and now happen in multiple locations and during the day.

Israel say they’re going after Hamas targets and anybody who is a fighter, but journalists on the ground report seeing more and more Palestinian civilians being arrested and violence.
