A MAN has died following a "serious assault" in a Scottish city.
Police were called to Victoria Road in Govanhill in Glasgow at around 11.55pm on Friday, April 12 following a report of a 70-year-old man being assaulted.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers confirmed a 15-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Enquiries remain ongoing and Victoria Road is currently closed in both directions between Queens Drive and Allison Street.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.55pm on Friday, April 12, 2024, police were called to the Victoria Road area of Glasgow, following the reported serious assault of a 70-year-old man.
"The man was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
"A 15-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries remain ongoing."
