THE First Minister has been announced as a speaker at the upcoming Believe in Scotland (BiS) rally.

The pro-independence campaign group will host the event in Glasgow alongside Pensioners for Independence with the theme: Independence to end pensioner poverty.

The rally is set to take place on April 20 in George Square.

On Saturday, BiS announced Yousaf (below) would be attending the rally as a speaker.

In a post on Twitter/X, the group said: “Let’s march together to unleash our nations true potential!”

The action follows BiS's first ever march and rally, which was held in September 2023.

It was attended by thousands, including Yousaf, who made his first appearance speaking at an independence rally as First Minister.

The campaign umbrella group currently has 142 local and national pro-independence groups working with them.

Participants in the Glasgow march are asked to gather on Kelvin Way to set off at 12.30pm, marching into the city centre of Glasgow, with the rally taking place in George Square.
