A NEW look at an action movie starring a Hollywood megastar which was shot in Scotland has been unveiled.

We previously told how Samuel L Jackson got all of Scotland talking when he was spotted in the West Lothian town of Bathgate – and then at a Bongo's Bingo event in Glasgow.

Known for his roles in classic films such as Pulp Fiction as well as for playing Nick Fury in the Marvel movies, Jackson was reported to be filming the movie Damaged.

According to IMDb, the film follows a Chicago detective who goes to Scotland after an emerging serial killer’s crimes match those of one he previously investigated.

The film also stars Scottish actor John Hannah – known for his roles in The Mummy franchise – as well as Kate Dickie, who previously starred in Game of Thrones.

It also features French actor Vincent Cassel, known for his roles in La Haine, Black Swan and Ocean’s Twelve.

It is set to be released on April 12 in cinemas across the UK with the trailer giving a new look at the tense thriller.

Scottish streaming company Stream Digital in partnership with Red Sea Media and Bondit Media Capital made up the team behind the film.
