A Glasgow park has welcomed new residents as calving season begins.

Glasgow City Council has announced that calving season is well underway at Pollok Park in the city's southside.

The park has welcomed the arrival of cute new baby Highland cows - and more are due in the next week.

Now, residents are being invited along to the park to see if they can spot the fury friends making their debut in the paddocks.

A spokesperson for Glasgow City Council said: "Calving season is underway at Pollok Country Park with the arrival of these wee cuties and more babies due to be born next week!

"Pop along to the park this weekend to see if you can spot the Highland cow calves making their debut in our paddocks."
