SCOTTISH police have seized £150,000 worth of cannabis in a major drugs bust.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested after officers stormed a unit at Ladykirk Business Park within the Shawfarm Industrial estate in Prestwick on Wednesday around 12.30pm after they had executed a warrant.

A search of the premises on Skye Road uncovered a major haul of the Class B drug. The man was arrested and charged in connection with drug offences. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Drugs with a potential street value of £150,000 have been seized in Ayrshire.

"Around 12.30pm on Wednesday, 14 February, 2024, a warrant was executed at a premises on Skye Road, Prestwick. During the search, cannabis worth over £150,000 was recovered.

"A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with drug offences. He is due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on Thursday, 15 February 2024.
