SCOTTISH police have seized more than £500,000 of cannabis in a drugs raid. 

Officers searched a vehicle at Loch Ryan Port in Cairnryan around 6.30am on Monday (February 5) and recovered around 51kg of cannabis with an estimated value of more than £510,000.

A 40-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.

He will appear at Stranraer Sheriff Court on Tuesday, February 6.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
