MICHELLE Mone has insisted she remains a member of the Scottish Conservatives despite denials from party bosses.
Speaking to The Daily Record, a spokesperson for the scandal-hit baroness claimed she still had a standing order with the party and continued to pay membership fees.
They stated that Mone had never left the party or been told that her membership was withdrawn.
It comes after the controversial peer admitted that she stood to benefit from the £60 million of profit accrued from a “VIP lane” Covid contract she helped facilitate between the Tory government and her husband’s company PPE Medpro during the early days of the pandemic.
Mone is currently facing criminal allegations of bribery as part of a long-running investigation by the National Crime Agency (NCA).

Last month, she claimed she was being treated like Columbian drug baron Pablo Escobar after the NCA froze her bank accounts to prevent her from moving around cash while the investigation is ongoing.
However, the Scottish Tories claim that Mone is not a member of the party.
A spokesperson said: “Michelle Mone is not a member of the Scottish Conservatives and our records confirm that.”
Indeed, last month the party said that Mone had never been a formal member despite being made a peer in the House of Lords by David Cameron in 2015.
