SCOTTISH TV presenter Lorraine Kelly has been cleared of body shaming Nigel Farage following comments she made about him when he appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! last year.

The watchdog was investigating a comment about the former Ukip leader but has now ruled they will not be taking the matter further.

During his stint on the ITV show last year, Kelly made a comment which some had felt constituted “body-shaming”.

After learning Farage (above) was 59-years-old, she said he looked a “hell of a lot older” and added: “That’s astonishing. That shows you get the face that you deserve.”

Ofcom received a total of 354 complaints over the remarks, thought the media regulator has since confirmed it won’t be taking the matter any further.

A spokesperson said: “We considered complaints from views who objected to comments made about Nigel Farage’s physical appearance.

“In our view, the brief exchange between the host and a reporter were part of a light-hearted discussion about jungle life, and within audience expectations for this programme.”

Farage’s involvement in the show led to many saying they’d be boycotting the series.

He eventually finished in third place overall, behind runner-up Tony Bellew and winner Sam Thompson.
