POLICE are probing an unexplained death after a woman involved in a crash with an e-scooter has been found dead in a house in Aberdeen.

Officers are appealing for information regarding the collision shortly before the body was found.

A report was received at around 2.20pm on Monday, November 27 of a 43-year-old woman found dead within a property in Mastrick Close, Aberdeen.

Detectives then discovered that the woman had been involved in a crash while riding her black e-scooter on the previous Monday, November 20 and are now asking for any dashcam footage to be shared with them.

The crash took place around the corner from the property she was found in at around 5.20pm on Whitemyres Avenue.

Sergeant Peter Henderson from Road Policing said: “While it is unclear at this stage whether the collision and any injuries the woman sustained contributed to her death, it is important that we establish the full circumstances of what happened.

“I am appealing for anyone who was in Whitemyres Avenue around 5.20pm on Monday, November 20, and may have seen a woman riding a black e-scooter to please come forward.

“In particular I would urge any motorists with dash-cams who were on the road to check their footage in case they have captured anything which could be of significance to our enquiries.
