POLICE have arrested and charged 11 men in connection with disorder offences which took place before, during and after a match between Celtic and Motherwell.

The game at Fir Park on September 30 saw reports of items being thrown onto the pitch as well as a pitch invasion by fans towards the end of the match.

One steward and one police officer were injured prior to the kick-off.

The men are all aged between 15 and 30 with a report of the alleged crimes being submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Police Scotland added that it had worked with stewards at the time to minimise disruption and ensure the safety of other fans in attendance.
