A PROBE has been launched after a body was discovered in a graveyard in Dundee city centre.

Police Scotland cordoned off The Howff after finding the body at around 9.20am on Monday.

Uniformed and plain-clothes officers are in attendance.

A force spokesman said: "The death is currently being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."

Nearby Barrack Street was also cordoned off on Monday morning but this has now been lifted. The graveyard remains closed.
