SCOTTISH tennis champion Andy Murray joked that cooking is not his “superpower” as he shared an image with his gran and Mary Berry ahead of the release of a new cooking show.

In a post on Twitter/X, the Scot said that Berry had visited his luxury five-star hotel Cromlix for her new show Mary Berry’s Highland Christmas.

He said: “Cooking is definitely not my superpower, but think we managed to pull off something edible when I was joined in the @CromlixHotel kitchen with the best cook in my family, my Gran, and Dame Mary Berry.

“Mary Berry’s Highland Christmas is coming soon to BBC One.”

The National:

In the show, Berry will travel to the Highlands to cook up a variety of festive dishes while also sharing anecdotes about her Scottish roots.

She said: “Christmas in Scotland is the biggest treat, my mother and her family were Scottish so it is a special place for me.

“The festive holidays are all about sharing special times with friends and family and so what better way than cooking some of my favourite dishes with a traditional Scottish twist.”

Many reacted to the image on social media with one saying they “couldn’t wait” for the show to start and asked if there were “any deep fried mars bars in the mix”.
