SCOTRAIL passengers were given a night at the opera after a man burst into a stunning solo rendition of Nessun Dorma on a Bonfire Night service.

A video of the man hitting the all the high notes of the well-known song from the final act of Turandot has started to gain traction online.

Everyone in the carriage was urged to join in with the instrumental and choral passages throughout in between him belting out the tune, made famous by Luciano Pavarotti.

And at the end, all the passengers have a go at singing the renowned “Vincero!” climax, to ensure Bonfire Night ended with a bang.

The passenger who posted the video said on Twitter/X: “Not every day you get an operatic rendition of Nessun Dorma on the train but stranger things have happened @ScotRail.”

ScotRail then caught sight of the video and shared it saying: “There’s never a dull moment in Scotland at the weekend. Gaun yersel!”

Other social media users are now enjoying the cultural scene with one saying: “Never change Scotland.”

Another user, Scott Russell, also reminisced about a time he heard a passenger recite Tam O’Shanter to the whole carriage “in its entirety”.
