SCOTTISH football pundit Ally McCoist has been fined after being caught speeding twice in a single day.

The Ranger star, who turned 61 on Saturday, pleaded guilty to the offences in Dumbarton Justice of the Peace court on Tuesday.

He was accused of breaching the speed limit on two occasions on January 6.

McCoist pleaded guilty to breaching Arrochar’s 30mph speed limit by travelling at 55mph, and the 30mph limit at Tarbet by travelling at 48mph.

STV reported that McCoist was fined a total of £510, £200 for the Tarbet offence and £310 for the incident at Arrochar.

He was given one month to pay, and also issued with four penalty points on his licence.
