A TikTok video of a Disney actor's attempt at a Scottish accent has gone viral.

The woman was dressed as Princess Merida from Brave while she interacted with a fan in character at Walt Disney World.

It has since received over 50,000 likes, but many commented on the actor's struggle with speaking in a Scottish accent, with some comparing it to both Canadian and Irish accents.

One person commented: "Haha that Scottish accent."

Another said: "Cries in Scottish."

A third added: "Wow, that accent was a tour of the world."

A fourth joked: "I am Spanish and I feel I sound more Scottish."

Released in 2012, Brave is set in medieval Scotland and Glasgow actress Kelly Macdonald provides the voice for Merida, the only Scottish Disney princess to date.

Other well-known Scots actors such as Sir Billy Connolly and the late Robbie Coltrane also feature in the Pixar film.
