EDINBURGH Airport has reopened after flights were temporarily suspended due to an issue on the runway.
Flights were diverted and take-offs delayed after a pothole was discovered on the runway.
A maintenance crew was despatched quickly to repair the problem, which was discovered just before 8am on Monday.
It is understood that the pothole, which was situated to the side of taxi-way, opened up as a result of the weather.
The closure of the runway lasted for around 30 minutes, with two planes diverted to Glasgow before swiftly returning to land in Edinburgh when the runway reopened.

Two more flights were diverted to Newcastle.
The airport is now operating normally, although travellers are being warned that delays may continue while the backlog is cleared.
A spokesperson for Edinburgh Airport said: "Arrivals and departures were suspended for a short period while our teams carried out emergency repairs on our airfield.
"This has since been completed and all operations have resumed. Safety is our priority and we thank passengers for their patience"
