THE First Minister hit back at a reporter when asked who he would be supporting in the final of the Women’s World Cup this weekend.
Spain are set to take on England this Sunday as both sides look to be crowned champions at the tournament for the first time.
Asked by Radio Clyde News if he would be supporting England, Humza Yousaf said: “I’ll be watching the game for sure, I wish the Lionesses every bit of luck.”
Pressed on whether or not he would be “cheering” them on, he replied: “Cheering them on if you wish. I don’t know why you’re so obsessed with who I’ll be cheering on.

“I’m not even sure if I’ll be able to watch the game or not watch the game given that I am busy of course on Sunday.
“But if I do get to watch the game then I wish both teams the best of luck.”
As he turned away from the camera, Yousaf could also be heard saying “honestly”.
Many took to Twitter to react to the video with SNP MP John Nicolson saying: “No wonder he says ‘honestly’ at the end. What a puerile line of questioning.”
Another said they could understand the FM’s reaction given the “odd line of questioning”.

“What does it matter who he supports?”, said a third.
“The media obsession with Scottish people supporting another country at stuff is weird”, a fourth person commented.
