THE Scotland Office under Alister Jack has shelled out tens of thousands of pounds on hospitality, The National has revealed.

Our report told how Tory ministers paid out thousands of pounds for food, drink and staffing at events in Whitehall, Edinburgh, and across Scotland between March 2022 and July 2023.

While the UK Government department declined to give a full breakdown – stating that the catering companies do not itemise their invoices – they did provide a full list of the 26 events, and how much was spent on each.
