A TEENAGER who went missing in the Highlands has been found “safe and well” after a huge search operation.

Police, coastguard, and mountain rescue teams were scrambled after Isaac Johnson, 17, was reported missing from the Glen Moidart area, south of Arisaig, at around 11pm on Saturday.

The National:

Johnson had set off for his walk at around lunchtime that day and was believed to be walking in the area south of Greag Nan Lochan before heading north east.

On Monday, police announced that the 17-year-old had "been traced safe and well".

In a brief update, the force thanked anyone who had responded to the original appeal.
