ACTIVISTS have been invited to join All Under One Banner (AUOB) to campaign one week ahead of the march in Ayr as speakers are announced.

The group are to host SNP MP for North Ayrshire and Arran Patricia Gibson, former Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock SNP MP now Alba member Corri Wilson, and former regional MSP now Alba member Tommy Sheridan in Ayr on Saturday, July 29.

To allow for local publicity, the group are to campaign in Ayr town centre the Saturday beforehand, July 22.

Activists intend to be hand out flyers to the public and get posters up, in and around the city.

Anyone is invited to join the group at the Wallace Tower from 1pm for a few hours.

This will be the third AUOB demonstration this year, following Glasgow and Stirling.

Susy Robertson, the designated organiser for the march and rally said: “With just over two weeks to go until we march at Ayr, we hope you are as excited as we are!

“This will be the third in a series of six demonstrations taking place across Scotland this year, for the broad independence movement to march together and express ourselves loud and clear, that we are still here and support is strong, and that we shall exercise the right to be an independent nation.

“As always AUOB extends a warm welcome to everyone who desires an independent Scotland to march all under one banner, for independence now. For a prosperous, more equal nation for all Scottish citizens.”
