AN URGENT hunt has been launched for a pensioner who hasn't been since in almost 24 hours.

Police are urging the public to help in their search for Edward O'Neill who was reported missing from the Eastburn Road area of Balornock around 11.30am yesterday.

He was later sighted entering Glasgow Central Station from the Gordon Street entrance.

At this time, he was seen wearing dark-coloured jeans, a black jacket with a fur-trimmed hood and a black beanie hat.

He was carrying a dark hold-all bag with red straps.

The 72-year-old is described as being around 5ft 6ins, bald and of slim build.

He has a Glasgow Celtic badge tattoo on one of his arms and is believed to be wearing dark-coloured jeans and a black jacket with a hood.

Sergeant Dean Shankie said: “Concerns are growing for Edward’s welfare and we are keen to find him to make sure he is safe and well.

“We are asking anyone who was at Glasgow Central Station yesterday around lunchtime to think back and let us know if they may have seen Edward.

“If you know where he might be or have seen him elsewhere then please also get in touch.”
