A NEW direction sign has been incorrectly installed in Glasgow for the second time in two months.
The sign - which has been placed near the entrance of Glasgow Central Station - depicts Merchant City, Buchanan Street and Queen Street to the right of the station, and the West End and Blythswood to the left.
Directions which have been labelled as 'the wrong way round'.
It is understood the Glasgow City Council have erected the direction map, but their contractors are responsible for 'correct' installation.
Speaking on the mistake, a Glasgow City Council spokesperson said: "We are aware of some incorrectly installed wayfinding/map units.
"These works are being undertaken by our contractors (Clear Channel UK) on behalf of the council, and we’re working with them to identify and rectify any issues - a process that will continue until we are satisfied."

The pointing arrows have now been covered up with gaffer tape to rectify the issue in the meantime.
It comes after a sign was installed the "wrong way round" in the city's Southside last month.
The sign was erected on May 26 on Victoria Road in Govanhill. It is unknown if the directions have since been fixed, but Glasgow City Council confirmed, at the time, that it would be corrected.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
