POPULAR DJ Andy Cato of Groove Armada will share his passion for regenerative farming at this year’s Fringe by the Sea.
The talk before his DJ set is part of a segment on the environment during the East Lothian festival which also includes a day-long celebration of marine and coastal wildlife and an outdoor performance highlighting plastic waste from dance company Dudendance.
Winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2022, Hamza Yassin, the Ardnamurchan-based wildlife photographer and TV presenter, will discuss a wide range of topics from overcoming adversity with dyslexia to his career as well as discussing his ballroom dancing triumph.
Since the first line-up in 2008 with 12 events over three days, the festival has grown to more than 225 events.

Last year the Scottish Tourism Multiplier calculated that the net additional economic impact of visitor spend was almost £6.5 million for East Lothian businesses.
On the music programme this year are Travis, Peat & Diesel, Groove Armada, Elkie Brooks, and Sister Sledge.
Authors talking about their latest work include Edinburgh-based Maggie O’Farrell, Scottish crime queen Denise Mina, and William Dalrymple, who will returning to his childhood base of East Lothian.
Those with lives less ordinary include Robin Knox-Johnston, Patrick Grant of the Great British Sewing Bee and Mark Beaumont.The Boozy Book Club returns with Karen Campbell and cocktails and there will also be a poetry session with Hollie McNish and Michael Pedersen, accompanied by Withered Hand.
There’s no need to leave the kids at home as there is music with Mr Boom and Artie’s Singing Kettle, song-writing classes, nature rambles, Alexander The Great Circus Show, Monski Mouse baby disco, Shrek The Musical, Splash Test Dummies, the Children’s Classic Concert, children’s authors including Skye McKenna, totem pole designing, mask making and much more.
Daily coastal walks and yoga sessions will all be part of the August festival, along with the Makers Market showcasing some of East Lothian’s most talented artisans.
The hub will once be again in North Berwick’s Lodge Grounds and visitors will be able to enjoy a programme of free live music on the Lighthouse Live Stage in the festival hub.
Closing the festival will be the International Film Orchestra performing the Spectacular Music of Harry Potter. This spellbinding concert will feature the magical music from all eight of the Harry Potter Films, written by composers John Williams, Patrick Doyle, Nicholas Hooper and Alexandre Desplat.
